Head of Grid Planning

Rebalance
Take full control of grid strategy, shape a 35-person team and lead one of Europe’s biggest renewable pipelines – all with remote based flexibility.
With nearly 20GW in the pipeline, you’ll work on high-impact projects that give you long-term security and the chance to influence Europe’s energy future. You’ll be joining at a great time as the grid department is becoming its own unit (which you will lead), therefore you’ll get to implement your own ideas, plans and processes.
You’ll also control the budget and headcount, with the power to grow your team by at least five initially (and more thereafter). You’ll be part of the senior management team, reporting directly to the MD and playing a key part in company strategy.
You’ll set your own hours, work from anywhere and only visit the German offices when it suits you. Alongside that, you’ll get a generous pension top-up, extensive monthly perks and 30 days off every year.
What you’ll do
You’ll take ownership of grid planning, shaping strategy and operations with your expertise. You’ll lead connection projects, making sure they’re delivered on time, within budget and meet all legal requirements.
Developing and coaching team leaders will be a key focus, giving you the chance to build a high-performing team that reflects your leadership style. You’ll also take charge of resource and budget planning, regularly reporting to senior management and advising on risks and opportunities.
What you’ll need
- Deep experience in grid planning, high-voltage connections or plant certification
- A track record of delivering large-scale infrastructure projects in renewable energy
- Strong leadership skills, with experience managing teams and developing future leaders
About the company
One of Germany’s top renewable energy developers, with a pipeline of over 19GW across multiple markets. The team has been growing steadily, with plans to expand the grid planning department under your leadership.
