The business has already delivered operational BESS projects and has nine more in the pipeline, giving you a solid foundation to build on while enjoying the autonomy of a newly formed team. You’ll lead electrical engineering for the design and implementation of large-scale battery storage systems and utility-scale PV projects.

As the team grows, you’ll play a key part in shaping its direction and culture, with plenty of scope to evolve your leadership style and take on even more responsibility as the business expands.

What you’ll do

You’ll take ownership of all technical aspects of electrical engineering for large-scale BESS and PV projects. This includes designing grid connection concepts, medium and high voltage systems, and protection systems.

You’ll develop and maintain the SCADA architecture for monitoring, control and data analysis, and evaluate key technical components like batteries, inverters, and transformers. Leading and developing an engineering team of 5–10 people will also be a major focus.

You’ll define and quality-assure technical scopes of services within EPC (EPCM) projects, support technical tenders and commissioning, and work closely with project development, purchasing and operations teams.

What you’ll need

• Completed studies in electrical engineering, energy engineering or comparable fields
• At least 10 years of experience in large-scale renewable energy projects, ideally with PV and BESS systems
• In-depth knowledge of grid integration, protection technology, SCADA systems and electrical plant planning
• Experience leading technical teams and building efficient processes
• Very good German (C1 minimum), ideally native, plus good written and spoken English
