It’s the best of both worlds really – the excitement and fast growth of a start-up, yet with the stability of an already established company (who are owned by one of Europe’s biggest energy companies).

It’s a Danish Solar PV developer / IPP that is just opening a new office in Berlin and the former CEO of a well-known German PV developer heading things up. We are supporting them on building the team to around 15 people in the first year and right now, finding an experienced GIS Expert / Manager is the top priority.

Your tasks:

– Development and support of a GIS-based IT structure for space management – Carrying out area analyses

– Further development of models and automation in space management

– Development of customised tools for project planning and reporting

– Research, preparation and integration of geo-based data

– Collaboration with colleagues from other departments (CAD planning, site development)

I think you can see the potential here – coming in at the beginning of something, taking full responsibility for all GIS topics in the company as they ramp up their activities, really getting to make something your own.

It’s essential you bring the relevant experience in GIS, ideally in solar but wind will also be OK.

As mentioned, the company is building up the team in Berlin and really want to create the right team environment from the beginning so you need to be able to work 3-4 days per week in the office.

Salary will be really dependant on experience – we’ll consider someone with just a couple of years’ experience, equally someone more senior in a leading role.
