With her professional background and a deep understanding of the solar energy landscape, Eder will elevate the event and help foster innovation and collaboration among professionals from research, industry and government.
Austria with ambitious goals for the next decades
In line with Austria’s ambitious goal of achieving climate neutrality by 2040, hosting the EU PVSEC highlights the central role of photovoltaics here. Austria is aware of the importance of using solar energy through photovoltaic technology as a key measure to reduce CO2 emissions. In support of this initiative, various measures were implemented to accelerate the adoption of photovoltaics in the country via the Austrian Technology Platform Photovoltaics and other local institutions.
As an international conference for photovoltaic research, technologies and applications, the EU PVSEC continues to be a key event for shaping the future of solar energy. Concerning her appointment, Eder stated: “It is a great pleasure and challenge for me to serve as General Chair of the 41st EU PVSEC. This conference plays a crucial role in the further development of photovoltaic technologies and their integration into innovative applications.”
